First Christmas!!!

Cheyanne's 1st Christmas was amazing ! We are soo thankful for all the wonderful family and friends who bought her things. This little girl is defintley spoiled beyond words :)  . Now mommy is stuck with trying to make sure her room stays organized, she still needs a few things we didnt get for Christmas so she can sleep in her own room starting beginining of the year , kinda excited to see how she does in her own room . We had a very good holiday and i cant wait to celebrate many more with her and all the special moments we will cross.

2 month checkup

Christmas eve morning we had to go in for Cheyanne's 2 month chekup! I can not believe shes already 2 months , its flying by ! Shes still my little baby girl tho :)  . . . At the appt. she weighed 10.2 punds and was 22 3/4 inches long ! Tall and skinny like her daddy . While at the appt the dr. sad she heard/felt a clicking in her hips so we had to go in for an ultrasound on the 27th to get her checked out and make sure it was all ok , and everything was good !! I can't belive how much she looks like her daddy somedays :) . . .

1 month old already

Today marks Cheyanne being 1 month old ( technically , since today is the 4th tuesday since she's been born) . Time sure is flying by ! She is still in newborn diapers, which we are on our last set so she will move up to size1 within the next week . She still however is still in newborn clothes , i feel like shes getting longer so she is fitting into her pants better but some of them still fall off of her :) .

First time leaving baby-girl !!

So last night ( 11/16/12) was the first time I had left Cheyanne for more then a few minutes with someone. My mom took me out to see Breaking Dawn part II last night and so Cheyanne was left with her papa for an hour before her daddy got home from work to get her . I knew she was going to be in good hands when I left but i was still nervous and did not want to leave her at all . I did do better then i thought , i didn't cry but as soon as that movie got over and we got to the car i was anxious to get home to her again ! I know i have to start breaking myself from her because im going to have to go back to work and my 21st birthday is in 2 weeks so i do want to go enjoy that as well . So i am glad that i got away before my birthday so it didnt make it as hard on me but i will still worry about her when im not with her . . afterall shes my baby girl !

2 week checkup !

Baby girl is defintely going to be built like her daddy for sure !!! She weighed in wednesday 11/4/12 at her 2 week checkup at 7 pounds 8 ounces , only gained 4 ounces ! Which is fine with me i like her being little :) . . She lands in the 31st percentile for weight . And for her height she only grew half an inch so shes now at 21 inches long and that puts her in the 81st percentile for height !! Defintly gets that from Jordan !!! I feel like she eats and eats but it doesnt go anywhere . . i wish i had that problem :) !!!!

One week old already

I can't believe Cheyanne is already a week old ! I still feel like we just came home from the hospital ! I love watching her everyday and the new litle faces she makes and just staring at her while she sleeps. She has adjusted so well at home and actually lets mommy sleep about 2 to 3 hours at a time at night , she eats really good to so it helps so we don't wake up so much :) . Daddy on the other hand never seems to hear her in the middle of the night but it's ok because i cherish every minute while im home with her .

Her Birth Story

Cheyanne had defintly already started becoming stubborn like her daddy at 3am, Sunday, October 21st ! I had been having contractions every 2-5minutes apart and they were unbearable . We made a trip into the hospital to be admitted and see what was going on . I was only dialated to 1cm so they had me walk the hallways for over an hours to see if my cervix would progress. Sadly it had not so we got sent back home to wait . The following day we had a normal doctors appointment to be checked out so we went and only to be at 2cm then . Still had lots of waiting to do it felt like ! I had then went home that night and before bed lost my mucus plug . I called my doctor to see if i needed to come in and if it meant anything  , she told me not really and i wanted to i could go back to the hosiptal and be checked but we decided against that because I did not want to be sent home again it was starting to get irritating for me ! The following morning on Tuesday i was in excruciating pain from my contractions so i was up on and off every 5 minutes crying . Lets say Jordan did not get any sleep ! I then at 3am decided to take a bubble bath to help ease the pain and try to relax . I could no longer take it at 5:30 I called my doctor crying and told her i would be on my way to the hospital! I had been having the contractions so hard my body was begining to shake alot and i was getting cold . We got admitted at 6:15 and i was at 5cm !! YAY we knew she would be coming into the world finally ! I had tested positive for GBS so i was given antiobiotics so Cheyanne would not be sick when i delivered her .  I also did plan on having an epidural so that was the next step waiting for the doctor to get done with his patient before me to come have mine put in . I got the epidural around 11:15 then they did break my water as well for me to help progress things further along and faster . As far as things moving faster , they didn't . Once i dialated to about an 8-9cm my contractions had started to space out more which happens with epidurals usually . I did not want to start Pitocin so we held off as lons as possible until my RN suggested we do it so i could be out of my misery . I got started on the lowest amount at first at 5:45 and 20 minutes later i was ready to push ! I pushed for an hour and a half to then deliver my beauitful baby girl at 7:08pm !!!! I could not have been more overwhelmed with seeing her for the first time after wondering for 9 long months what she was going to look like . What was a very long 3 days will now turn into my life time of happiness for her daddy and I to enjoy as she grows up .

Cheyanne Kinlee Orcutt

We were blessed to welcome to our family a baby girl Cheyanne Kinlee Orcutt. Born October 23rd, 2012 a 7:08pm . Coming in at 7 pounds 4ounces of pure bliss ! Her orginal due date we thought was to be October 1st but that came and went with no baby , the doctors gave me a due date of October 16th but she passed that as well and decided to make her own due date :) . I could not have been more excited for her to make her debut FINALLY . Her daddy and I were well over due with waiting and were becoming verry impatient for this little girl to be here in our arms and home with us .

New Beginings

I am starting this blog to begin the journey of my new addition to our family . Our baby girl Cheyanne Kinlee Orcutt . She has already won my heart over and brought soooo many new emotions to me that i never thought i could have . She has defintely changed me already and im excited to call myself a mommy now . Even tho she was not planned i don't think i would trade it for the world . She is my life now and im blessed to have her here in it .
